5th of July

I always get so excited when family is in town or when we get together as a family. It is fun to be able to be together and get to know each other better. I hate how distance keeps us apart of I have come to realize that that is part of growing up and part of life, even though it sucks we have to deal with it. Since Amanda and Scot were in town and so was Aunt Kimmie and her family it called for a family BBQ and time together.

It seems that our family just keeps growing and growing. Too bad we are missing lots of cousins and loved ones due to distance but it was fun for those of us close enough to be able to get together.

It is always fun for me to see my mom with her sisters and her bond. They have such a great bond and I am grateful for all of their efforts to stay in touch with one another so that we can be be close to each other and to our cousins. They are all so sweet to my grandma and all of them do a great job taking care of her and making sure she has the things that she needs.

One I said in my previous post our family loves to be able to play games with each other. It seemed that we played a lot of these games over the week-end. They all were a lot of fun for us.

We were lucky enough to have Aunt Kimmie's family spend the night and day with us. I am always surprised at how much her kids grow when we don't see them. Kara is at such a sweet age. She loves to play with you and talk to you.
