4th of July

The 4th of July just wouldn't be the 4th of July without working for the City parade. I think 2 years ago all 5 of us (Miller's) worked in the Parade. Even though its bright and early it's usually not to bad of an event to work. Unless its hot. This year it was so hot. OMG.... Court and I could not wait to get home and shower. I was excited for the workout I got. I walked a total of 8 miles from start to finish. That's pretty good if you ask me. I am always in charge of doing vehicle check-in. I have been doing that job for years now. A few years ago I was excited because Caitlin joined me. I think it is always fun to be able to work with my siblings. That is something I have always really enjoyed about working at the city. This year they assigned Courtney to join our group of people doing vehicle check-in. She enjoyed it much more than her past responsibilities. When we were done we took a nice long nap so that we could enjoy a BBQ and fireworks. I felt bad for the hubby though. He spent his day off at home kind of waiting on us until the BBQ. Poor guy is so good to me and let me get some rest.
I feel so blessed to be married to my best friend. We have so much fun together, even if its just the 2 of us. He is so perfect for me. Afterwards we went to the Chases for the BBQ since Amanda and Scot were in town. It was fun to visit with them. We also really enjoy playing games together.
The fire works and going to West-wind park was the highlight of the day. It was so fun to hear hear the live band, play football, be together as a family, and joke around with Tommy. It was fun to have the fireworks right in front of you and be able to have a good view. I have never been much of a sports person but since my husband is I try to do things with him every now and than to make him happy even if its not something that is my favorite. He loves to go to the park and throw the football around. My throw is getting a little better, I still need a lot of work though. I thought these shots Manda got were really cool and the sunset looks so pretty.
