Girls Camp

This year I was asked to go to girls camp. I was really excited getting devotionals ready. Also mom and I were asked to speak on the last day. We put a lot of thought into this and I think it was a success. I learned so much from girls camp and it made me want to be a better person. I love the spirit that is there and how we are reminded of the things we need to work on and how we can change. Some of the biggest things that I took from it was how I need to be better about saying my prayers and reading my scriptures. I also gained so much love for the girls there. I just felt like I needed to be better about being kind to everyone. It reminded me that we are all children of god and that I need to try to see the good in people instead of getting annoyed by small things that don't matter. They did a really cool program where they had the girls be tempted and they had to hold onto the iron rod. They did this once when I went to girls camp as a youth and I remember the impact it had on me. It really impacted the girls at camp as well. Several of them bore their testimony about how it made them think. I had to tempt them with brownies like the word of wisdom. It made me realize how much temptation there is in the world. There is so much evil out there and it is so important to have a foundation built on the gospel and the savior.
