Saturday

I have been needing to blog again for a while now. I hate how when I take a while to blog I start to forget all the details I wanted to share. Tommy and I had the chance to invite my cousin Shaun and his wife Denise over for dinner and some games. I have loved the chance to get to know Denise better. She is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She is so thoughtful and kind. She has an amazing heart and its always a good time when she is there. My cousin Shaun is fun too. Lol. I totally forgot about the womens broadcast but thought we would just invite her to come along with us. I am so glad we were able to go hear the words spoken. We each have things that touch our hearts by the spirit but I really loved the talk given by Linda K Burton. She spoke a lot about sharing our talents. She shared a story about a lady who came to her mission when her and her husband were serving. I think she said there was a lady was from Japan who came to speak to all the missionaries, they were in China? ( I may have my countries wrong. lol) Anyways She didn't know much of the language but she decided to use her talents of ore-gamy. She taught all the missionaries how to make lips and told them the few words she knew which were to open their mouth. She said this is something she will never forget and she is sure the missionaries will not forget this as well. I thought so much about our sweet Caitie. As she is in Japan and the language isn't easy I know it can be hard to continue to press forward but she has so many wonderful talents and she can share those with the people she serves and sees along with the words she has learned so far. This was a wonderful message for me as well to remember that it is important to share our talents. We just never know who we will bless from them. After the wonderful meeting we came home and played games. We had a lot of fun along with my parents eating and laughing. It is always fun to get together. We had music on as well and that was fun. It seems we all really like music. A lot of different types so that was fun to sing a long too. We ended the night going to 21 choices our favorite frozen yogurt spot. So good. =)
