For those of you who don't know General Conference is a very special thing that happens every 6 months for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We are able to come together and listen to our prophets and apostles speak to us about things we can improve on and how we can become better people in our everyday life. It is always very inspiring and helps me want to try to be a little better I absolutely love how it makes me feel. It helps me to know that God is aware of us and loves us enough to give us guidance and direction through these Prophets. These are just a few highlights I found online that I absolutely loved. If you haven't had the chance to watch it or if you would like to hear it you can find all the talks on

I have so many memories of conference from growing up. My parents always made conference week end special to us. We often did not have cable and would go to the church to watch it there. I can remember when I was about 10 my parents had 6 children. We were not always quiet and we must have made it really hard for them to hear but they always took the time to make sure we knew it was an important thing. We grew up knowing how much this meant to my parents. Because of their example and love I see the importance of it today and I really try not to not let things get in the way of conference weekend. It is very special to me. My husband and I have tried really hard to continue to set this weekend aside from others so that we can be taught by our loving father in heaven.

Somethings that my parents did to make this special was that we would get special danishes for breakfast the weekend of conference. It was special because we didn't get it very often but we got it for conference. When we were kids they also made us these fun conference packets. Sometimes it can be hard to sit for 8 hours over a 2 day period of time but as we had crossword puzzles and games to keep us busy and in-tune it helped to make conference fun as a child. As we got older all of us continued to make conference special. My parents have made it a tradition that the Monday after conference we would have family night and all share our favorite talks from conference and the things we learned from it. This is always a good time and something our family really looks forward to.
I can still remember the wonderful feeling I had the first time I got to go to general conference in Salt Lake City Utah. There is something so special about being by the prophet. Last October we got to take a trip to watch conference like which was so much fun. We enjoyed being in the presence of men of God. There is just something so special about it. It just feels so peaceful. When the prophet comes in the conference center everyone stands up to show respect for him. It is really cool. I really love how conference answers questions pertaining to my personal life. I have found when I go with questions I receive so many more answers to help me. Somethings that I personally want to work on after seeing this conference:
1.Seeing the good things in life. Counting my blessings each and every day.
2. Being kinder to people especially my family members.
3. Make sure I am doing the things that are most important to me and not wasting my time during the day. Limit my "media" time.
4.Jesus Christ is always there for us, I want to get to know him even better.
I hope I will refer back to this so
I can remind myself of the things I want to do better.
I can remind myself of the things I want to do better.
