On Monday night we had the missionaries over. Mom and I made lasagna, bread, and salad. We had all 4 of them over along with Tatiana. It was a really nice evening. Tommy decided he was going to share a message for family home evening. He shared this video about bullying. Even though I am not young or don't really get bullied there was a time when I did. I think this is a wonderful message for all people. Even adults bully and talk about others. I am guilty of this. This video was just the reminder I needed to help me be more kind and loving towards all people. It was such a good reminder. My husband shared his thoughts after as we watched it. He shared about how he was prompted to email someone and how he did. He shared his testimony. As I was sitting there listening to him it made me grateful. Grateful to have a husband that always reminds me to be more kind. He reminds me to love everyone. He helps me see the good in them and reminds me not to speak negatively about others. He points out my flaws in a loving way to help me push myself to become the best person I can be. I just felt so blessed in that moment. I also reflected on the home I grew up in. This video makes me think about how so many people are mean and we never know how our actions or words will affect others. My mother has always been a great example. She is always kind to others. in our home she always encouraged us to be kind to our siblings. She wanted each of us to be safe. She taught us to love one another. I can remember many times friends coming over and her saying that we had to include our siblings. I am so glad she did that. It is because of her and her example that my siblings and I have the bonds we do. Even though we have our ups and downs we are always there for each other and we make time for each other. I feel so lucky and blessed. I pray I can continue to try a little harder to be a little kinder to all of God's children.
