Happy Anniversary to Us...

Today we celebrated our 2nd year wedding anniversary. I am not gonna lie, the time has sure gone by fast. I can't even believe it. We wanted to do something fun and different. A few weeks ago this guy came into Tommy's. Something about my husband is that he always likes to learn what people do for a living and try to learn from them or hear about their success. I think it is a way he learns and it helps to motivate him with his educational goals and career goals. So this guy was telling him how he owned the lodge in Mt Baldy. (the mountains just north of us) He was telling Tommy it had a beautiful view that that we should try to check it out sometime. He was nice enough to supply us with free passes to go on the ski lift. We were so excited when Tommy brought them home. We decided we could save them and use them to celebrate our Anniversary. We  had to make sure we prepared ourselves for this. We worked really hard on our homework throughout the week and yesterday. This allowed us to have a whole afternoon/evening with no worries. We really have never been to the mountains together so this was a special treat. The weather in Ontario was around 85 degrees so we really didn't know what to expect. When we went it was around 65 degrees and it ended up being really beautiful. It was nice to be alone together and just be able to enjoy the beautiful world we live in. Its so easy to get caught up in life and what we have going on and everything around us. It made me realize how lucky we are to live in a beautiful and thankful for God. As we were on the ski lift we could hear running water and it just sounded so peaceful and relaxing. Even small things like that we often take for granted. We took a lot of pictures so we could have great memories. We ended the day with some yummy sushi. The same place we went for Valentines Day.
