Christmas in Texas

We had sooooo much fun in Texas. I am so glad we were able to go. I thought Tommy wasn't gonna be able to make it because of work but he worked some magic and was able to join us for at least the week end. We tried to fit in a lot of fun while he was there. It really is true that you don't know what you have until it is gone. I know I have said this before but sometimes I get so sad to think that all my siblings live away from me at this time. I can not wait for Caitlin to join us soon, but this is part of growing up that sucks. Sometimes I just sit there and think how cool it would be for all of us to live in the same neighborhood. Maybe one day. I can dream right. The best part of Texas was being able to see so much family. I loved every minute of it.

Loved being able to feed, kiss, struggle, play with, dress, bath, and take care of this little guy. It is so sad to me that Porter lives so far away from us. We are not able to take a road trip and see him. He changes and grows so much. I really cherish every minute I get to be around him. He is so cute and such a fun baby. Love his little personality.
On Saturday we were in Texas we packed in a lot of fun. Mom and dad were so sweet to make it special for us. High light of the trip was our 15 passenger van so that we could all drive together. It made for a great day. We went and got kolaches. If you ever go to West Texas, you got to try them. So good. We headed to Grandpa's so we could go shooting. So fun Kimmie, Kevin and their kids joined us, along with Tammy, Ty and their kids. This was my very first time shooting a gun. I loved being able to try it out but I am not sure I care if I do it again. I enjoyed more watching my family shoot and spending time with them. Pretty little Kara and handsome Kamden are getting so big. I am so grateful for Kara's sweet little spirit and I love that she likes to spend time with me. I know there is like a 20 age difference between me and her but I am glad to have a great bond with my little cousin.
It was freezing at grandpa's house. We spent a lot of time in the 15 passenger van and by the fire we made. After a while we couldn't take it anymore. We wanted to spend a little more time with all the family so we found a place to go eat. It was all you can eat which I usually am not a big fan of. The rolls there were actually really good.

There was so many people there I would have loved to be able to visit with every more. It is fun that we have so much family in Texas just sad they are all spread out. It was also fun to meet Tammy's little baby Emma for the first time. She is sure a cutie. Her little Bryce is getting bigger and bigger everytime we see them.
Here is a picture of the whole group. We went to a super fun rodeo that night. I can not seem to find very many pictures. I think we had taken so many pictures during the day we forgot to take pictures at the rodeo. Saturday was definitely the highlight of the whole trip.
We enjoyed some shopping at the 4 story mall in Dallas and even did a scavenger hunt that was a lot of fun. This Christmas tree in the middle of the mall was huge. We were going to enjoy some ice skating but the line was ridiculously long and we all decided it didn't matter that much to us if we did it or not.
We went to down town and enjoyed a fun trolly ride. Again it was really cold so we didn't do much more than that.
Loved cuddling with sweet baby Porter.
