Family Reunion at the Beach...

I can't believe it has been so long since I blogged last. Time is flying by and I feel like I have been so busy. Not really though. I just hope to continue to blog regularly so that I can stay up to date with what has been going on and have it recorded. It is so much fun to be able to go back and look at your past blogs. I have started back working and summer is over. Although it still feels like a break because I have not gone back to school yet. I was working over the summer so its not much of a change. Just more regular hours to count on. I am working 6 hours a day instead of 5 and I am really excited for the extra money. Hopefully we see a difference. Last weekend we had a family reunion beach day. I am so sad I didn't even take one picture. I don't know what I was thinking. I have been bad about making sure I get pictures of things. We went early and stayed for a bonfire. It was by far one of my favorite days at the beach so far this summer. Dad and his cousin Becky went to a lot of work to plan it and even rented a picnic area for us. It was so enjoyable with those family members that did come I hope this is a tradition that we will keep up with on dad's side of the family and I really hope more family members can come next year. It is so hard when everyone is so far away. It seems that once grandma and grandpa passed away it is even harder to see everyone as well. We were lucky enough to even enjoy the bikes on the beach. We rode 8 miles from the edge of Huntington to the shops on the pier. One of my very favorite things is to ride bikes on the beach. I then forced myself to get in the water. The older I get the more the ocean water bothers me. It is so COLD. It takes me forever but it was way forth it. Tommy, Court, Shaun and Dento all got in the water. The current was pretty strong and it pulled us out far. Once we realized how far we were I panicked a little but luckily Courtney was with us and she used her lifeguard skills and told us what to do to get back in safely. It was funny because the lifeguard kept staring at us. We came back in, changed and enjoyed hot dogs and smores. It was really nice chatting with everyone that was there. I actually got a little burned but it is feeling way better now. Wish I had some pics to show for our fun day. Oh well.
