Bowling
As I posted before Tommy and I are in school and it sure does take up a lot of our time. We are trying to learn to balance everything but it is taking time. Tuesday was so good this week. A couple weeks ago Tommy came home and told me that his work was going to be having a blowing league. He decided to sign up for it and thought it would be fun. So for the next 10 to 12 weeks he would be bowling every Tuesday. I thought it was a great chance for him to get to know his co workers better and a fun new hobby. He then told me that he wanted me to go with him. I said okay maybe I will come with you every now and then but I don't want to go every week. The first week he went alone but he had a good time. At Christmas for the company party they actually went bowling. Before that it has been a very long time since I bowled. I did horrible and wasn't very excited when Tommy told me he wanted me to come to bowl with him and we could take turns bowling for him. Anyways so on Tuesday we had a lot going on, work, homework, we have been assigned to be in charge of the Mormon helping hands for our ward at church. It is a big responsibility and we have meetings every month to prepare for it. They happen to be the second Tuesday of every month so we had that as well. I really wanted to exercise and Courtney's good friend Jeanette had her last water polo game and I wanted to go to it. Tommy told me he could make up his bowling after and I could go with him. We thought it would be to rushed to try to fit bowling and and then we would be late to our meeting. We went to our meeting, and even happen to drop off some goody plates for valentines day to 2 ladies from church that I visit teach and then we went to bowl. Tommy had 3 games to bowl and the best 1 out of 3 is the one that counts for his team in his league. We are both pretty new to bowling and we are trying to learn and see what works for us to make us do better. Tommy kept giving me little tips to try but nothing was working. Finally he told me that maybe I needed to release the ball lower to the ground. I tried it and all of a sudden I actually started to make the ball go in the center and it wasn't going in the gutter. The only problem is the ball doesn't have much power but it sure did make bowling a lot more fun when I could actually make it knock down some of the pins. We were proud of ourselves. We got a score of 110. We kept taking turns back and forth. It was way more fun then I thought it would be. It felt like such a productive day, not only did we accomplish a lot but we got to do fun stuff too. It is so important to have a balance and I am trying to be better about that.
