Blessed

Tommy and I have been reflecting lately at how very blessed we are. We both have wonderful families and enjoy our time with them. As I reflect on this past week I think about how life here has changed so much just in the last year. I reflect on the wonderful memories we have made and the vacation we got to take. It has been ride thats for sure. I thank my heavenly father each and everyday that I am blessed to be with my best friend everyday. My favorite thing lately is when we are laying down to go to sleep and we just can't stop talking. I feel that we could talk for hours and it sometimes reminds me of our dating days. We would stay on the phone FORVER. Ha ha

Well back to the events in the last year....

August- My Grandma Lorraine passed away. This was by far something that was so hard on me. Even though I know I will see her again I still miss her dearly and will randomly cry because I wish I could hear her sweet voice or get a hug from her. She is so thoughtful and loving.

September- Tui, Tommy's brother got engaged. We all got to be there for it and it was really exciting. In just 2 short weeks he is finally getting married to Theresa.

October- My dad was attacked by 6 pit bulls and had to overcome alot. We are so lucky to have him here with us today.

December- Amanda and Scot came from Texas, and Georgia (Bryce's wife) came to visit. We got to meet her for the first time and Bryce proposed at the Los Angles Temple.

Feburary- Our dear friend BSC Mahina passed away after a long struggle to stay alive after heart surgery. Tommy's twin brothers MJ and LJ came home from their missions. Also Tommy's brother LJ moved in with us.

March- Bryce left California to be with his sweetheart in Georgia and is now a southern Boy. I guess hes our redneck in the family. Ha ha

April- Caitie got her mission call to serve in Japan. We are so proud of her. We miss her dearly.

May- Brett left us in California to sell pest control in Utah.Grandpa Don passed away. So sad but so happy he gets to be with grandma now.

June-   Bryce was married to Georgia in the Orlando Temple. We had an amazing family vacation in Florida. Mom and dad spoiled us rotten. Then Mom and I got to spend 3 weeks in New Jersey and Texas. We did alot of sight seeing, shopping, spending time with loved ones and we even made it to a rodeo.

July- Caitlin left for her mission.

September- I am the only sibling in my family in California and it is so sad. To go from a bug family always being together to not having a sibling around makes me so sad.

I reflect on all these changes and life events. I am so blessed. We are so blessed. I am so happy to have what I do but most importantly the strong friendships and ties with my family members. When all is said and done what really matters is your relationships with those you are going to be with for eternity. I hope and pray I can do my best to make those relationships strong and last forever even though we are miles apart. Yesterday when I had to say goodbye to Courtney it was the hardest thing for me. I have always looked at her as my baby. Someone to help and comfort. I feel that over this summer we have grown so close and I have loved being able to be with her so much. My sisters are truly my best friends and I don't know what I would do without them.
